Dr. Rishma Dhillon Pai is one of India’s most respected and accomplished gynecologists with decades of experience in obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, and women’s health. She serves as an honorary consultant at Lilavati, Jaslok, and Hinduja Healthcare Hospitals in Mumbai. She is the only Indian appointed to the Board of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) and the first Indian to serve as a Board Member of the World Endometriosis Society. She also holds the prestigious FRCOG (honoris causa) from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK—an honor awarded to very few Indians.

Over the years, Dr. Pai has received numerous prestigious recognitions including the Inspiring Gynaecologist of Western India Award, Midday Health & Wellness Award, Women Empowerment Award, Bharat Nirmal Award, 50 Outstanding Women in Healthcare Award, and multiple leadership awards from within India and internationally. She has delivered 66 orations, served as a speaker at over 400 national and international conferences, authored 63 book chapters, and published 40 research papers in reputed journals. She has also organized 41 medical conferences, highlighting her leadership in academic medicine.

Dr. Pai serves as the Vice President of MOGS and is the Director of Pai’s Family Welfare Hospital, one of India’s oldest and busiest family planning centers. She has pioneered advanced treatments such as MRI-guided focused ultrasound for fibroids and has achieved remarkable clinical milestones including delivering a 60-year-old woman, one of India’s oldest mothers. She has received advanced training in endoscopy, IVF, ICSI in Belgium and egg/embryo freezing at the world-renowned IVF center in Japan.

Beyond clinical work, Dr. Pai is deeply committed to community health. She has led major national initiatives such as the YES (Youth Education and Service) program, offering health awareness to over 25,000 school children and training 6,000 teachers. She initiated the NARI Swasthya camp, conducting health checkups for women in over 100 cities, and contributed significantly to the PMSMA initiative by mobilizing 1,500 gynecologists to offer free antenatal care monthly. Her anemia eradication drives have been recognized in the Limca Book of Records, and she continues to strengthen women’s healthcare through education, outreach, and innovation.
